Principal Teachers currently has a vacancy for a Teacher of Maths to commence a long term role in a Harrogate secondary school. The school requires a committed and enthusiastic teacher, who can drive results forward for Maths in KS3 and KS4. The position is available to start in September on a full time basis. The Head Teacher is seeking a committed individual, who can motivate students to achieve in Maths and provide a diverse and personalised curriculum.

This larger than average Secondary School is based in a vibrant area of Harrogate. Upon appointment, you will become part of an experienced Maths Department and gain access to a wealth of resources. You will need to demonstrate your ability to plan and assess meticulously to be able to deploy support effectively and challenge students to realise their full potential. You will need to demonstrate your ability to plan and asses to a very high standard to cater to the needs of mixed ability students.

The successful applicant will have:

-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
-Previous experience of teaching in the UK
-Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for Maths
-Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
-The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
-Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
-A commitment to improving attainment for all students
-A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
