A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a National Automotive Specialist in the Derby area for a Towbar Fitter and Trailer Service Technician.
If you are a semi-skilled technician who is looking for someone to give them an opportunity to prove themselves this could be the opportunity you have been looking for. Fully qualified Technicians also considered.
Full training will be provided on Towbar Fitting processes.
You will have the responsibility for fitting towbars to customer vehicles, whilst ensuring that the customer's property is handled with due respect. You will be expected to fit towbars in a professional manner and completed to an acceptable time frame and quality. You will keep up to date with any changes to suppliers towbar fitting instructions including wiring.
There will also be a responsibility for servicing and repair of the Company's fleet of hire trailers to an agreed schedule, maintaining and updating full records of each trailer in the Company hire fleet for servicing purposes. You will need to assemble and modify trailers as required and ensure the workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Due to the nature of this role, applicants will need to have experience in within a Mechanical Automotive position and be skilled to NVQ L2 or above (or equivalent) and will need to hold a full and current driving licence.
A starting salary of GBP18,500 being offered with a bonus scheme on top, which should equate to a further GBP2,000. Basic Salary will rise to GBP20,000 once fully trained. Hours are 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings on a rota basis. 30 days holiday including Bank Holidays, rising to 32 days after 12 months.
