I am a gentleman with Cerebral Palsy who likes living independently in my own home. I have a learning and physical disability.

I like going out into the local community as well as further afield. I enjoy going to shows, days out at the coast and going to pubs and bars. I’m very popular with the people that a see when I’m out and enjoy spending time with people either on my team or in the wider community.

I am looking for a person who is motivated, positive and caring to support me as part of an already successful team. I am supported 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so you will need to be able to work waking nights and weekends as part of a rota. I have my own car so you have to have a full driving licence.

Shifts will generally be on a one to one basis so need you to be able to work in a way that assists me to make the most of my time.

Communication is very important to me so I’m looking for somebody who has good written and verbal skills. You don’t need to have experience working with people who have a learning disability, training is provided.

You will be required to be flexible in your approach and adhere to all recognised principles and policies of working with a vulnerable adult. You will be expected to liaise with treating therapists and to follow their guidance and instruction.

Shift Patterns:

  • Early: 6am - 2pm
  • Late: 2pm - 10pm
  • Waking night: 10pm - 6am

The position includes a company pension scheme. 5.6 weeks annual holidays pro rata.

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a satisfactory DBS Check.
