Position: Field Service Technician
Location: Rochdale, Lancashire
Salary: £30,000 OTE + Car Allowance

The Field Service Technician Role:
The Field Service Technician will be joining a field based team in carrying out the calibration of magnetic equipment at customer premises.

You will represent the brand on customer’s site and support the sales team by promoting products to customers. You will have excellent people and customer service skills, must be technically minded and ideally have some experience in the engineering industry.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, however extra hours will be required due to the nature of the role as there is travel throughout the UK. Overnight stays will be required (hotels and reasonable expenses will be provided). Occasionally work on Saturdays will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test /calibrate the magnetic equipment at customers’ sites throughout the UK
• Identify any replacement equipment required and support company growth by creating sales leads for this equipment
• Complete relevant paperwork/ service reports (excel format) in accordance with company procedure
• Take note of dimensions and provide basic sketches for replacement equipment
• Handle any on site customer queries in a fair and reasonable manner
• Represent the company by maintaining the correct conduct, appearance and communication

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience in a similar industry and proven technical competence
• Excellent IT skills are key as you will be required to process reports and complete all own administrative duties
• Excellent customer interaction skills
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to team work
• Full clean driving licence
• Good geographical knowledge and ability to travel throughout the UK
• Flexibility of working hours required
