Senior Care Assistant

Heritage Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant to join the team at Hazlemere Lodge located in High Wycombe. Joining us on a full time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £8.50 per hour.

Heritage Care is a charitable organisation that provides a range of flexible individualised care and support services for people with learning disabilities, mental health support needs and older people.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Care Assistant to join our home, Hazlemere Lodge, located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. As a Senior Care Assistant you will ensure that services are provided that respect the choice, dignity and rights of individuals. You will work as part of a team, providing physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to service users within the scheme to encourage them to achieve maximum independence where possible.

With a flexible approach to work and responsibilities, you will possess an appropriate NVQ and a good record as a carer. You will need to possess good communication skills that will help you interact with service users and their families. Experience with a supervisory role within a health care setting would be an advantage.

Hazlemere Lodge is a purpose built care home for 64 older people. The home has large, beautifully furnished bedrooms, each with their own en-suite facilities and equipped with the latest technology. At Hazlemere we offer personalised care tailored to an individual’s specific needs. We provide nursing care for 32 residents and care for up to 16 residents with dementia.

Salary: £8.50 per hour. Enhancements are also paid at 10% of the hourly rate for any Sunday, night or Bank Holiday hours worked.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week. You will work day shifts on a rolling rota basis, including regular weekends and Bank Holidays.
