Care Assistant

Heritage Care has  fantastic opportunities for Care Assistants to join the team at Gardenia House, Dartford.  Joining us on a competitive salary of £7.60 rising to £7.70 per hour after probation.

Heritage Care is a charitable organisation that provides a range of flexible individualised care and support services for people with learning disabilities, mental health support needs and older people.

We have opportunities for Care Assistants to join our home, Gardenia House based in Dartford.  You will work as part of a team providing physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to service users within the scheme to encourage them to achieve maximum independence where possible. To ensure that the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with Heritage Care’s policies and procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards.

You will need to be a great team player and be able to build positive relationships with our service users, their families and our staff. As one of our Care Assistants, you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of older people living within the scheme and how to support them to lead valued lives in the community. Good literacy, numerical and verbal skills are a must. It’s also very important that you are organised, patient and of a caring nature.

Gardenia House is a modern, purpose built home, catering for 25 residents, located close to the bustling commuter town of Dartford. The home has secluded gardens and also enjoys green field views. Residents have every opportunity to lead a full and busy life as Gardenia House is conveniently located close to local shops and also has strong links to the community through church and disability groups.

Salary: £7.60 rising to £7.70 after probation.  Enhancements are also paid at 10% of the hourly rate for night hours worked.

Hours of work: 24 hours per week available, including early and late shifts, and regular weekends on rolling rota basis .
