Cover Supervisor needed for school in Gosport

Supply Desk are working closely with a Secondary Academy School in Gosport that are looking to recruit 2 full time cover supervisors for the next academic year starting in September. A teaching qualification is not required however experience teaching and working in Secondary schools will be considered highly advantageous. You will also need to have a degree recognised in the UK. For those individuals that have a great interest in a career in education, this is a wonderful opportunity to gain greater experience.

About the role:

As a Cover Supervisor you would be expected to provide assistance to regular teaching teams through taking classes and ensuring pupils are on task. As you will be solely in charge of the classes, you will be responsible for classroom management and maintaining the safety of students. It is essential that you have strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage confidently with students.

About the school:

The school is a mixed Academy Secondary School that has over 1,600 students aged from 11 to 16 years. The school is under exciting transformations as it has recently become part of the Fareham/Gosport Academy Trust. In this Trust it is in partnership with 4 other schools in the local area. These schools are both Secondary and Primary schools. Members of staff would be expected to occasionally work at different schools to help provide support and assistance when needed.
