A Buyer is required to join a large Engineering company responsible for delivering advanced vehicle systems.
Role: Buyer
+ Active role in the setting up, maintaining and improving commercial supplier relationships and supplier performance, lowering cost of supply for all product lines procured
+ Support the Supply Chain function with daily updates on performance, tasks and objectives. Setting and monitoring the output of the team via departmental KPI's
+ Generate and manage Requests for Quotation and tender analysis
+ Generate and manage purchase orders with an extensive range of product and supply base
+ Manage, maintain and process MRP reporting
+ Manage and maintain supplier price files relating to the Supply Chain work streams
+ Alternative sourcing of key components and assemblies to achieve cost and delivery requirements
Experience:
As Buyer you will have experience of:
+ Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards this
+ Previous experience working within a dynamic purchasing role
+ Previous experience working with in a manufacturing environment
+ Knowledge of ITAR regulations would be beneficial
+ Experience of commercial / niche vehicle manufacturing sectors desirable
+ Demonstrable Microsoft Excel skills to "advanced" level
+ The ability to obtain security clearance
