Compliance Manager - Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality
A leader in their industry, this high tech processing facility is looking to recruit a Compliance Manager - Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality professional to join their fast paced well established site in Kent.
The ideal Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality professional will be qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH General and have previous experience within any of the following industries; Process Engineering, Waste Management, Concrete or Quarrying.
The successful candidate will have strong influencing skills and proven experience of managing ISO management systems; ISO14001/ BS OHSAS18001 and ISO9001 within a similar environment.
You will actively promote best practice and monitor any incident/accident statistics, identifying any trends and implementing improvements. You will promote and communicate a positive Health and Safety culture and communicate with regulatory bodies, insurance representatives and external auditors with regards to all Health, Safety and Environmental performances.
As the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality professional on site you will complete Risk Assessments on new projects and review and update existing Risk Assessments to ensure that safe systems of work and adequate control measures are in place to ensure safe working practise for employees. Complete site inspections and implement necessary control measures to ensure a safe working environment for employees, contractors and visitors.
Implement new systems and procedures and assist Site Managers to ensure that safe working practices are adhered to at all times. Carry out requirements under RRFSO 2005 to ensure that Fire safety and Fire Risk Management is maintained at all times. Promoting a positive health and safety culture within the organisation at all levels.
This is a demanding role requiring good management skills and the perfect opportunity for a Health and Safety professional looking to join a challenging environment where they can really make a difference.
