OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE

To provide accurate quotes for complex and specialist commercial vehicles for all sectors (corporate, public sector, SME), to act as support and advice to wide Engage team for other commercial vehicle quoting requirements. Act as a point of expertise for general commercial vehicle advice and consultation.

Role Specific

• Primary responsibility and contact for the generation of all complex and specialist commercial vehicle quotes.
• Act as focal point for CV Knowledge with the Engage Centre
• Support the Engage centre staff with expert commercial vehicle knowledge of quotes and orders for all commercial vehicles from basic panel vans through to complex heavily converted vehicles.
• Provide advice and support on base vehicle and conversion compatibility.
• Recommend and advise on fit for purpose vehicles, specifications, legislation and compliance issues.
• Provide in-life support for commercial vehicles for both the base vehicle and any conversion
• Provide technical expertise on commercial vehicle compliance requirements, for example safety tests, conversion approvals etc
• Request commercial vehicle pricing and specifications from appointed dealerships, converters and manufacturers.
• Understand the role of a Fleet Manager, within both the public and corporate sector environment
• At the request of the Commercial teams, assist where necessary, with the completion of Tender documentation relating to CV specification in a consistent and professional manner.
• Improve personal development, skills and knowledge by developing an understanding of the all brands and other business divisions
• At the request of the Commercial teams, make occasional visits and have off-site meetings with appointed dealer suppliers, converters and client / prospects, to fully understand the van / fleet operation
• Have a thorough understanding (including the key personnel) of the appointed CV supplier dealers and converter network
• Be an expert in the use of NETO and Smartsheet systems
• Be responsible for accurately qualifying the CV needs of customers and be prepared to challenge requests for quotes
• Ensure that the necessary VRB and manufacturer support terms for CVs are in place

Relationship Management

• Build relationships and develop the trust of the suppliers, dealers and conversion companies, the Engage team and our customers.
• To become a fully involved member of the Virtual CV team and have regular 2 way dialogue with suppliers

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience of commercial vehicle knowledge (up to and exceeding 3.5tonne GVW) required - from Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) to Specialist specifically converted vehicles. Experience of the Public Sector market and frameworks preferred
• Fluent in business English language - written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of core Microsoft applications (Word and Excel).
