Cubiq Recruitment are representing a highly established manufacturing business that pioneer in the design & development of electro-mechanical products that are manufactured in high volumes.
We are urgently looking for a design engineer who enjoys the technical aspect of product design to join a dedicated multi-disciplined R&D team. You will be responsible for the detailed mechanical design of electro-mechanical products from concept through to manufacture.
Skills & Background:
* A strong mechanical design engineer conversant with 3D CAD
* Able to demonstrate through experience, knowledge of designing injection moulded, cast and machined parts for functional applications,
* Well versed in the selection and specification of engineering materials,
* Conversant in the basic engineering principals of fluid dynamics, heat transfer etc, used within our design solutions,
* Knowledgeable in the management of 3D & 2D technical drawings within the context of a structured NPD process
* Able to utilize tools such as FEA, DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA, Tolerance l analysis and understand their use within the design process,
* Aware of the downstream impact of design on other area's of the business.
