We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Product Assistant to join our busy Supplier & Product Management team in Wilmslow, Cheshire. In this role, with full training, you will be responsible for supporting the Product Manager for key and strategic product portfolios within CASE (Coatings Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers, to ensure that products are available for sale, pricing is correct, and that all relevant information is up to date in order to contribute to the profitable growth of this business.

Product Assistant Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

You will be pro-active in your approach to supplier and product management to make sure that all possible opportunities are identified and maximised.

You will assist in the preparation of annual targets and budgets, information that is used to measure and review our performance. You will occasionally negotiate with our suppliers to secure the right prices and terms for purchase of products as well as controlling selling prices to maximise our gross margins. You will also assist in developing the growth of sales of the portfolio by supporting the Product Managers.

You will set up, monitor and update selling schedules for products. You will need to liaise with our stock controllers & sales team to decide forecasts and stock levels. It will be your responsibility to deal with aged stock and implement the changes needed to drive continuous improvement.

We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this role you will have excellent rapport building skills and be a confident communicator, especially with negotiation and influencing of others across functions.

We are looking for you to be commercially and technically minded with good numeracy and organisational skills. You will need to have a good general level of education, and be able to demonstrate that you are dedicated and proactive as the ability to make valuable contributions to the gross margin targets is key to this role.
