ASSET CARE SHIFT TECHNICIAN
Salary: GBP28,000
Location: Doncaster
OVERVIEW:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an electrically biased, Maintenance or Shift Technician to join an established business based out of Doncaster, which specialises in the manufacturing of radiators as an Asset Care Shift Technician.
THE ROLE
-In order to support the maintenance and manufacturing departments, we need an open-minded, flexible and proactive individual to manage key daily activities specifically geared towards driving continuous improvement change.
-The individual is part of a small team of 8 shift based Engineers, who will be responsible for closing out a mixture of reactive, planned and proactive actions as they arise in a busy factory environment.
-To help deliver the asset care plan & provide a world class maintenance support to the site, which includes; assisting the maintenance management team in complying with all H&S responsibilities, legal compliance, delivering efficiencies, continuous in respect of production/packaging, services, buildings and all other ancillary equipment.
-Deliver timely first line response and quality remedial countermeasures to breakdowns, inefficient performance and all identifiable waste streams
THE CANDIDATE
To be considered for this position you should be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas;
-Time served apprentice
-Electrically biased, with a good level of mechanical knowledge and experience
-Evidence and experience in a continuous improvement environment
-Manufacturing background
-Willing to develop in the role and take on more responsibilities
-Open minded and willing to take on new ideas
-A flexible approach to the job, willing to stay over or swop shifts to see the job through
-Willing to work overtime when available and if required
-Methodical approach to the job in hand with an eye for detail
-Excellent communicator and inter-personal skills
-High engineering standards
-An ability to analyse data from multiple inputs to drive decision making
-Experience of using CMMS systems to record work
-A 'Safety First' mind-set
THE COMPANY
Founded in 1936 manufacturing steel column radiators from a purpose built factory in Southall. As a company, we now operate from facilities in both the Netherlands and in Doncaster (UK). Our Doncaster site handles our UK radiators business, coordinating an advanced production and distribution operation that spans a 17 acre site.
With extensive research and development facilities in Belgium, the business is always looking to bring innovative products to market and extend its wide product range even further. Whether that is developing a spectacular designer radiator or adding efficiency to traditional panel radiators, the business is innovative in every sense of the word.
THE BENEFITS:
- Annual Salary of GBP28,476.94 (plus shift supplement)
- 40 hour working week, however the role includes commitment to work reasonable amount of overtime as required by the company.
- 3 shift rotation of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm & 10pm-6am (reduced hours on Sunday night)
- Company pension scheme
- 25 days holiday per annum (plus bank holidays)
