Civil Litigation Paralegal - Landlord & Tenant Position (Maternity Cover)

Our client is a specialist firm of solicitors in Uckfield East Sussex, who have a particular strength in contentious Landlord and Tenant Litigation. They require a capable civil litigator to provide maternity cover on a six month contract with the distinct possibility to transfer to a full time role thereafter.
The role involves managing a litigation case load of Landlord and Tenant cases including defended matters from instruction through to completion. The applicant will be required to issue proceedings, prepare cases for hearings/trials, comply with Court Directions and Orders and liaise with clients on a regular basis.

You do not need previous Landlord & Tenant experience, but must be able to demonstrate strong civil litigation credentials. The successful applicant will be a minimum of associate level of the Institute of Legal Executives, Fellowship Member of Institute of Paralegals or similar, have experience in County Court litigation and the Civil Procedure Rules. Ideally, you also have knowledge of Landlord and Tenant residential law and be able to work well as part of a dedicated team providing a high level of service to our clients. No advocacy is involved.
