GBP27,500 - GBP30,000 per annum + Benefits Package

We are the national governing body for all forms of boating, including dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, powerboat racing, windsurfing, personal watercraft, inland cruising and narrowboats and has an annual income of over GBP22 million. We have 170 staff based predominantly at our offices in Hamble.

The HR Advisor Role:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced HR Advisor to provide day-to-day support to managers and employees in relation to all aspects of HR in compliance with statutory obligations and best practice. Reporting to the Finance Director, this will include:

+ Review and development of relevant policies and procedures
+ Provision of advice and training to managers in relation to employee performance
+ Assistance to managers with general HR matters, ensuring consistent interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures
+ Active involvement in managing the recruitment process including preparation of documentation
+ Leading the induction programme for new employees
+ Management of contracts and maintenance of employee information in accordance with the Data Protection Act
+ Supporting the transition to a new online HR system
+ Coordination and administration of training and development programmes and liaison with external training bodies
+ Provision of confidential ad hoc advice and assistance to employees

About You:

+ CIPD qualified, preferably Level 5/7
+ Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and employer best practice
+ Knowledge and experience to confidently support managers in good HR practice
+ Committed to inclusive working, ensuring equality and valuing diversity
+ Ability to build relationships and gain trust
+ Meticulous attention to detail
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Ability to remain visible to managers and employees in a busy environment
+ Organised and methodical
+ Ability to manage and process sensitive information while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
+ Experience of HR databases and software systems
+ Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
