Role: Technology Trainer

Location: Based at Ashurst's Glasgow office

Reporting to: Global Technology Training Manager

Hours of work - Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:30, however you will be required to work such hours as are necessary to carry out your duties.

Department/ Role Overview: To provide comprehensive technology training to partners, legal staff, secretarial and support staff in all offices.

Main responsibilities:

Develop and deliver high quality learning solutions (instructor led workshops, virtual training and eLearning courses)
Provide ad-hoc training sessions for specific queries
Develop bespoke training solutions for key business areas
Be actively involved in business wide projects requiring training solutions
Accurately update the Learning Management System
Manage and support internal team projects
Maintain consistently positive customer feedback
Be active in knowledge sharing activities

Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requires and internal policies.

Essential skills and experience:

Experience working in a legal or professional services environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Credibility, presence and presentation skills to influence at all levels
Demonstrable experience in creating high quality, succinct training materials
Experience of working through complete IT project lifecycles
Proven track record of delivering MS Office 2010 from basic to advanced level
Knowledge of learning methodologies and learning styles
Ability to perform well under pressure and to work to deadlines
Proactive, problem solving approach to work
Experience of training needs analysis and evaluation methods
Ability to build effective team relationships
Good analytical skills
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Comprehensive understanding of the learning cycle
Experience of working remotely and/or within a variety of international cultures

Desired skills and experience

Train-the-Trainer Certification (e.g. LPI)
On-line training certification (e.g. COLF, CDOL)
eLearning development skills
MOS qualifications
