A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor are looking to procure a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team based near Gloucester. Working across the Student Accommodation, Education, EFA, Commercial, Industrial and MoD sectors, they are leaders in their market. Projects will typically range from GBP3m to GBP45m, averaging between GBP8m - GBP15m, holding a strong presence in the Education sector.
The Gloucester based office is growing from strength to strength, with 75% secured work already for 2018. Their office boasts a vibrant and dynamic environment, and with their diverse portfolio of projects they are looking for an established Senior Planner who has a wealth of knowledge through the main contracting market.
They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who has experience working within a contractor on large projects up to the value of GBP15m - GBP20m. Knowledge of commercial, health, education and student accommodation would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis of tender allowances
- The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates.
- Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
- Subcontract and Design Procurement
- Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
- Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations
- Preparation of cost to completion
- Cash management and maximisation
- Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
- Provision of standard reports
- Internal Valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports in accordance with schedule of accounting period end dates and deadlines
The successful candidate will be offered a generous basic salary plus package on top, including a company car or car allowance.
