We are recruiting for a Site Supervisor with an electrical, mechanical or HVAC background to ensure the retail facilities are maintained to the standards detailed in the contract and to the satisfaction of both the contractor and the Client. The role will involve the general fabric upkeep of the facility, managing sub-contractors and an in-house team of facilities and maintenance engineers.
On Offer for the site supervisor - The role is a temp to perm position and pay is based on circa GBP32-35k pa circa GBP16.82 - GBP17.50/hr
As the Supervisor you will be responsible to:
Provide supervision of all HVAC kit and systems which may include electrical, Air Conditioning, Gas and general HVAC engineers plus all fabric maintenance and soft services where required.
- Maintain the site to a minimum "acceptable" standard for all service specifications.
- Work within budget for all allocated lines
- Maintain H&S to a high standard at all times.
- Maintain all site records to a high standard including but not limited to PPM records, damage, community use, labour etc.
- Management of reactive tasks, ensuring tasks are allocated and closed out within time keeping deductions to a minimum.
- Manage site consumables within issued budgets and ensure stocks are maintained to ensure availability when necessary.
- Manage/undertake minor repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Manage, arrange and co-ordinate reactive repairs, refurbishment and planned maintenance in accordance with PPM plans and issue, monitor and close out all PPM tasks for in-house and outside contractors on site. Manage with support if required from the central service desk closure all task on CAFM system.
- Manage all in-house and contractors working on site during repairs, maintenance or refurbishment work including negotiate and agree timescales and costs for works.
- Check method statements, risk assessments and task instructions for all tasks completed on site. Check sub contractors qualifications and certificates to ensure these are suitable for tasks being undertaken. Maintain records of site attendance and completed works. Record and manage accidents, incidents and near miss incidents by staff and contractors as well as those reported by the school.
- Manage, train and supervise any allocated staff. Carry out/arrange and record all site training and maintain training records of all site staff.
- Assess and keep the site, building and facilities to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness. Carry out site checks to monitor internal audits and checks carried out by site staff.
- Deal with any emergency situations e.g. burst pipes, roof falling in etc. Assess situations, determine course of action to resolve faults and problem, contacting suppliers to agree costs and arrange site visits.
- Recommend improvements or replacement of facilities equipment etc for life cycle plans.
Qualifications and experience:
- Recognised engineering qualification or substantial experience in more hard services facilities management
- Detailed knowledge of relevant Building Services
- IT literate in Word & Excel
- High personal standards of appearance, integrity,
- 2 Years experience at supervisory level in an operational setting.
- High regard for Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality.
- First Aid Trained
