Mechanical Design Engineer

iO Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of an established special purpose machinery manufacturer who distribute their products worldwide into multiple industries.

With a growing order book and an ever-adapting range of products, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team and continue to drive innovation within the business.

As a Design Engineer within the company you will use Solid Edge to work on the full design life cycle of your projects and work closely with suppliers and the production team to ensure quality at every level.

In order to be considered for this role you will need to have:
-Knowledge of special purpose machinery, motors or drivers
-Strong 3D CAD knowledge
-Experience working within a project based design role

There is a strong succession plan in place for this role with the company looking at taking on someone who will ultimately lead the company moving forward. With this in mind, they are also looking for someone who is efficient, enjoys a challenge and able to rapidly pick up new ideas.

Candidates with only a couple of years' experience but the desire to progress within the business will also be considered.

As such, the salary for this role is dependent on skill set and the experience you are bringing to the table, however the banding will range from GBP30,000 to GBP40,000.
