MPLOY is currently recruiting for our client based in Southampton, for a Purchase Ledger Clerk. Mainly, their role is to support the Purchase Ledger Supervisor with day to day functions ensuring that supplier invoices and payments are processed within deadlines.

Duties
Working within a busy purchase ledger team to ensure timely and accurate data entry of supplier invoices. Ledger currently consists of approx. 625 suppliers with a balance of nearly GBP3.8m.
• Calculate & Process Supplier Payments
• Reconcile of Supplier Statements
• Resolve supplier queries by telephone & email
• Filing & Post duties
• Any other general administration tasks as may be required to ensure that the purchase ledger department functions accurately and to management deadlines

Skills
• Previous experience in Purchase Ledger is not essential as training will be provided
• Ability to work well both in a team and when using your own initiative
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organisational skills, time management and attention to detail
• The ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
• Use of Microsoft Office programs
• Experience in use of Navision is desirable but not essential
