Our international client based in Gloucester is looking to add to their Purchasing department by appointing an Inventory and Purchasing Assistant.

This is a small but important team within the business and your role will be varied and require you to communicate with other departments within the business.

Your duties will be varied, and some of the areas you will be responsible are detailed below:-

* Assist in maintaining the computer inventory records at item level, to ensure that the information is accurate and up to date for all orders created within the system.
* Update inventory systems when orders are received, to ensure systems and physical stocks are synchronised
* Ensure ordering patterns are adhered too
* Assist in maintaining the out of stock situations to satisfy customer requirements as soon as possible, through investigation and expediting deliveries whilst communicating the situation to managers.
* Check daily stock shortages
* Update the inventory stock keeping system with items received back from customers, making adjustments in the system
* Conduct cycle counts of stock and inventory on site
* Assist with the ordering of ancillaries products
* Assist in managing the stock levels
* Liaise with Warehouse team to ensure they are aware of deliveries
* Assist in maintaining special orders and most wanted ordering function
* To respond and help to daily requests from other departments
* Assist with sending back returns to suppliers coming back from customers
* Assist with organising consignment stock to customers across the globe

* Confident IT user-particularly Excel.
* Logical and methodical thinker
* Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure
* Knowledge of shipping and receiving practices
* Self Disciplined, driven,
* Knowledge of inventory systems
* Stock control experience
* Performance reporting
* High attention to detail
