Job Role

As Senior Client Development Manager you will have a senior role within the Client Development team. You will be responsible for delivering performance in line with your client KPIs and objectives across your portfolio of Affiliate Programmes.

Main Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Act as senior level contact across a number of key accounts - perform quarterly business reviews, develop strong relationships
  • Create a forecast and development plan for each of your allocated accounts on a yearly and quarterly basis
  • Work with the rest of your team to ensure actions on the development plan are completed and that actions are taken to ensure forecasted results are met - delegate responsibilities and tasks as necessary
  • Build a strong relationship with key client contacts on your allocated programmes by maintaining regular telephone and face to face contact
  • Perform quarterly business reviews for your allocated clients
  • Closely monitor key Affiliate performance across allocated accounts
  • Some management of promotions and daily activity on allocated accounts will be required
  • Provide regular feedback to the Account Director on client satisfaction

Team Management

  • Act as a mentor to junior members of the team, feeding back to the Client Development Director on development needs
  • Day to day responsibility for direction and focus on team activity on allocated accounts and projects

Business Development

  • Implement and optimise new Affiliate publishers recruited by the publisher sales team across key allocated accounts
  • Work with the sales team on target lists of new publisher and advertiser acquisition.
  • Work on joint sales pitches - creating forecasts, innovative programme strategies, participate in sales meetings
  • Take an active role in commercial re-negotiations on allocated accounts in conjunction with the Client Development Director
  • Support the Client Development Director's on any company cross-sale opportunities on your allocated accounts

Business Planning

  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure the smooth implementation and incubation of new advertiser Affiliate programmes and publishers. To gain traction and transaction KPI vs. forecasted activity
  • Own the implementation process for new Affiliate programme clients in your team ensuring defined thresholds for quality and timeliness of launch are met, coordinate other team members as required
  • Be responsible for undertaking project work across the team as required - participation in reference groups, training and testing on new functionality, coordination of external marketing databases, case studies etc.

Product Knowledge and Management

  • Provide feedback on customer requirements to the Product Team to drive further developments
  • Liaise closely via telephone and face to face with key publishers - use their feedback to report new developments to company's Product Team

The Candidate

Professional Requirements

  • Educated to degree level
  • 3+ years' experience in relevant Affiliate Marketing role
  • Strong understanding of Affiliate Marketing with relevant experience
  • Great awareness of other Digital channels including: Programmatic, SEM, Social, E-mail & Lead Generation
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate statistics into insight and actions
  • Extensive successful account management experience from the Affiliate Marketing industry
  • Strong strategic thinker with demonstrable experience
  • Demonstrable influencing skills and strong commercial awareness
  • Confident communicator with proven oral and written presentation skills
  • Interest in developing team management skills
