Junior/Trainee Proposals Engineer – Watton, Norfolk - £18-19k, package etc

My client specialises in the design, engineering and manufacturing of specialised electrical systems and have an established first class reputation worldwide.  We are looking for a Junior Proposals Engineer who can join our team and work closely with the Sales Engineers.  The Company will provide technical product and proposals training.   The aim is assist the Proposals Engineers to become a fully trained Technical Proposals Engineer responsible for the following:

Duties/Responsibilities:

To be the commercial point of contact for the life cycle of the bid to delivery

To build strong relationships with technical teams and procurement within the client project teams

Attend formal bid clarification meetings within the UK and overseas

Interpret client’s enquiry documents, prepare designs and draft formal tender responses to tight customer specified deadlines

Review technical and commercial content of Purchase Orders

Prepare accurate contract handover files for the Project Managers

Regular travel will be required every month to close both technical and commercial bids in front of the client to secure business

Skills and experience required:  

Sales experience

An Engineering qualification or experience
