Are you an experienced Business Development Manager, within a scientific environment looking for a new and challenging role?

This leading analytical laboratories is currently recruiting for a brilliant Business Development professional to take on this critical role.

This role leads the company's sales. The role will primarily focus on building a new pipeline of new clients and sales on a global scale. The areas of focus are, Generics, Specials, Biotech, Raw materials, Manufacturers, new pharma NPD(MDMV) and stability. You will be able to operate in a fast-moving consumer goods environment, operating comfortably at all levels of the business both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:
- Promote the Trinity Scientific brand throughout the group and different external networking events.
- Drive divisional sales growth across the product portfolio in targeted competitor accounts as agreed with Sales Management.
- Leads the implementation plan for the acquired target accounts and co-ordinates the activity across the organization.
- Work with Sales Development Managers within the business and within other businesses within the group for National clients as defined by the Leadership Team.
- Effectively partner with the sales management, sales consultants, and marketing team, to ensure we harness the full extent of their company resources and deliver more than our competitors.
- Build strong networks of relationships that enable the identification of mutually beneficial opportunities to ensure growth.
- Present brand value propositions and value-added customer solutions to positively influence buying behaviors.
- Understand technical information pertinent to the procedure and product platform.
- Formulating a sales plan to develop lead generation activities. Managing entire sales process from lead to closure.
- Proactively developing own prospects to supplement marketing lead gen activities as required.
- Working with marketing to develop targeted sales messages and creative campaigns.
- Providing accurate and timely sales re-forecasting on a monthly basis.
- Providing other reports and KPI as agreed with management.
- Travel (up to 50%) both domestic and international

What you need to succeed
- Ability to analyse marketplace in order to ensure focus on and acquisition of new business.
- Negotiating skills
- Ability to effectively plan
- Excellent communication skills -written, spoken and presentation ability
- Excellent commercial acumen
- Bachelor's degree in sciences or related discipline preferred

They are looking for a hungry, driven and ambitious professional as such they are offering a competitive salary of up to £50,000, plus a generous commission scheme when you exceed targets, this commission is paid quarterly in arrears and will add a substantial increase in take home pay.
