Cleaning Supervisor
The King’s Academy is an 11-18 school with over 1,000 students which serves the communities of Hemlington and Coulby Newham in Middlesbrough. We aim to provide a first rate education to our students informed by our Christian ethos, which helps to develop their character as well as academic excellence in a culture of high expectations and accountability and which is only possible through our high quality and committed staff team.
Our team of cleaners is essential for ensuring that our fantastic school buildings are kept in good condition to provide a first class learning environment for students and staff, as well as presenting a professional image to parents, visitors and lettings customers.
We are now looking to recruit an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to manage the team. You must have a high attention to detail, strong experience of managing, motivating and developing a cleaning team and a passion for providing excellent customer service. You must also have a good knowledge of current industry best practice and be able to take the initiative in the workplace, for example in developing systems and schedules. The job will involve some direct cleaning responsibilities in addition to the supervisory role and some flexibility will be required. Experience working in an environment where a high level of cleanliness matters, such as the NHS, will be an advantage.
The job is expected to be full time throughout the year, 35 hours per week (11.30am to 7pm with a 30 minute break when the academy is open), Monday to Friday and the rate of pay is £9.03 per hour (APT&C16). 25 days paid annual leave for new starters.
