We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join our team here at South Devon College. You will be responsible for operating food service areas and providing kitchen experience. Key tasks this job includes are preparing beverages, snacks and other foods, preparing counter and sales area for service, operating cash tills accurately and ensuring that working areas are kept clean and tidy.
The successful candidate will need to be trained in Food Hygiene and Handling and have knowledge of a Food Safety System. You will need to have work experience of food preparation and service in a busy and varied environment and have experience of cash till operations. We are looking for someone who is able to work under pressure, has customer focussed approach and food hygiene awareness.
