We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our client in Cardiff. Our client is a professional services firm who have worked on a number of iconic projects. Working within the Buildings team in Cardiff, the main duties are to record and distribute documents and
drawings in accordance with project procedures and AMS requirements.
The Document Controller will form and maintain strong links and relationships with his/her immediate Team and the Group/Practice s/he works in.
Role
The role offers scope for breadth of knowledge and experience. Progression opportunities to work across practices and to progress to Senior Document Controller.
?? Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing documentation using paper and electronic
systems.
?? Issue documents according to project requirements.
?? Meet client requirements on document management systems.
?? Advise team of client document management requirements such as number format; revision
format and preferred statuses
?? Archiving /Scanning/Printing - Renaming, recording and filing incoming hard or electronic
copies of drawings (Internal and External).
?? Verifying and checking documentation prior to issue.
?? Managing superseded documentation in accordance with AMS and project requirements
(linked to client requirements).
?? Attend project start up meetings where applicable. Communicate regularly with PM's to

Requirements and skills

IT literate/familiar with IT Systems.
* Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel
* Experience of using "File Transfer" Sites
* Experience of uploading/downloading from online collaborative websites.
