As their Die Casting Operative, you will be tasked with tending the die-casting machine that casts parts from nonferrous metals. Requiring minimal supervision, you will operate the die cast machinery and all ancillary equipment in manual and automatic modes as required by production demand or process/router controls. As such, the Die Cast Operator, must possess a skill level and understanding of industrial machine operating and die cast processes.
You will be capable of performing equipment, machinery and process adjustments as directed, regulate the machine, carry out defect inspections enabling processes to meet or exceed production levels and quality expectations. You will work cooperatively towards problem solving and maintains a commitment to continuous improvement of product quality and productivity in the work environment.
As such your main duties will involve:
• Maintaining all process control adjustments on die cast machinery with minimal assistance of lead persons or the manufacturing engineering technician
• Operating equipment and machinery within parameters designed to produce acceptable quality levels.
• Operating production machinery in a safe manner while maintaining established standards of productivity and quality
• Meeting or exceeding standard production rates on all job assignments
The successful applicant will have production experience, and will be unfazed by a high volume production environment, have a good Health & Safety and Quality awareness.
Please note that hours of work per week are 40, and would consist of shift work, either 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm.
