Primary Class Teacher Job available for Secondary Special Education Needs School Your new school: This Special School supports over 100 pupils aged 11 - 16 with complex learning difficulties and needs. Needs for pupils can include, medical conditions, speech language and communication difficulties, and autistic spectrum conditions. This school provides a high quality education for pupils and have been judged as good in their most recent school inspection. Your new role Working with pupils with profound and complex learning needs, you will encourage pupils to communicate effectively, develop self confidence and self belief, solve problems and become as independent as possible and experience the excitement of investigation and discovery. You will work with a small class delivering the whole curriculum, adopting a primary approach, so that pupils benefit from consistency in all aspects of their learning and development. What you'll need to succeed You will hold a QTS and have experience teaching primary education. The school has a successful track record of developing teachers from mainstream education in to working with pupils with needs. You must be able to demonstrate a clear commitment to working in a special school. What you'll get in return This is a full-time class teaching job starting in September 2017, however the school can consider you on a part-time basis.
