IT Support Engineer / Computer Technical IT Support - c.??20000 + benefits
We are a small successful IT support and professional services provider based in Camberley, Surrey. We provide the following services to our customers:
- On premise Microsoft server and desktop support
- Cloud IT services for customers hosted at our datacenter
- Linux server support, primarily Red Hat
We are now recruiting for a candidate with IT support experience, including providing technical support over the phone, to join our small team on our service desk. We have a very relaxed and friendly environment - training will be given.
Your main responsibilities will be;
- Answering support queries via email and telephone
- Call logging & using remote access software
- Diagnose and rectify technical problems and queries
- Technologies supported include: Microsoft Server 2008 on, Exchange 2007 on, Active directory, MS Office, MS Outlook, Office 365, Linux, VMWare, VOIP, Nagios
Initially the role will be supporting our Microsoft based customers, but will grow to include Linux/Red Hat support customers.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills;
- Good communication skills
- Microsoft Server, Exchange, Office and Desktop Operating systems
- Network/Internet troubleshooting
- Some Linux skills would be advantageous
To be considered for this position you will be a confident IT support technician with a friendly personality and a willingness to learn.
Occasional customer visits might be necessary so driving licence is preferred. On-site parking provided.
