Role: Warehouse Planning & Systems Manager
Salary: GBP31,000 + Benefits
Location: Avonnmouth, commutable from Bristol, Gloucester, Stroud, Newport Weston-Super-Mare, Taunton, Bath, Chippenham
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced, Warehouse Planning and Systems Manager for a well-established 3PL Company.
The position is based near Avonmouth, with a salary circa GBP31,000 with package.
The shifts for this role are any 5 out of 7 rotating 6am - 2pm /, 2pm - 10pm, / 10pm - 6am
The Company
A well established and exciting 3PL, running a dedicated retail contract.
The Role
As Warehouse Planning and Systems Manager you will plan required resource levels based on forecasted volumes, to ensure optimal efficiency within the Distribution Centre.
You will support the Warehouse Shift Managers to ensure that the right level is identified and allocated appropriately.
You will need to create, develop and managing operational plans to ensure optimal service levels are achieved within budget. Responsibilities include:
" Effectively report on planning, resource and budgetary needs.
" Plan and co-ordinate the allocation of resources across the sites to ensure required KPIs and customer service levels are achieved.
" Effectively plan loads according to delivery needs in the most cost effective way.
" Ensure accurate forecasting models and techniques are used to optimise availability and inventory levels
" Liaises with the Site Manger in order to enable accurate monitoring of the inbound and outbound operation to develop the most efficient work load.
The Person
To apply for the position of Warehouse Planning Manager, you must have several years' planning management experience ideally with an operational background in a retail warehouse/distribution environment.
" Strong leadership and people management skills
" Be IT literate and a proficient user of Excel and related WMS preferably Red Prairie.
" Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across all areas within an organisation
" Proven track record in delivering continuous improvement within a warehouse planning operation.
