£12.52 per hour + benefits
Our client are one of Europe’s most prominent manufacturers of premium glass containers, providing exceptional quality glass packaging for some of the world’s most prestigious spirit brands.
They are currently seeking an apprentice trained mechanical engineer to work as an IS Maintenance Engineer. Reporting to the IS Team Leader you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of glass forming machines within their Hot End Production Department, ensuring equipment achieves maximum efficiency and manufacturing performance. Working in a small team you will also be responsible for the cleaning, checking, repairing and refurbishing of spares to ensure availability and minimise downtime.
The hours of work for this position are as follows:
7.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Thursday
7.00am to 2.00pm Friday
The position attracts a salary of £12.52 per hour, as well as all the benefits associated with a major successful organisation.
Suitable candidates should be fully apprentice trained and possess a good level of Maths and English, together with excellent problem-solving skills, and will be required to undertake an aptitude test to demonstrate this. They should also be enthusiastic and committed, with a pro-active and flexible approach to work. The ability to work well under pressure and prioritise your workload is also essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Previous knowledge of working within a glass manufacture plant and/or 24-hour process environment would be an advantage, however not essential.
