Dinnington, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S25 3QD.
Hours – Negotiable (flexibility required between 08.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday) 39 weeks of the year.
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 pro rata

EDLounge is a remote learning application designed to help break barriers to learning with online education through virtual classrooms.

Due to business expansion into a new market, we are currently looking to fill 3 newly created positions. 1 Maths teacher, 1 English teacher and another teacher of any other subject to assist students of all ages with different learning abilities via our online learning platform.

If you are looking for a non-school based teaching position that will still allow you to teach, this could be the role for you.

We are ideally looking for teachers with experience in teaching Key Stage levels 2, 3 and 4 in any specialised subject. Retired teachers or qualified teachers who have recently left the profession would be ideally suited to the role.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Mentor students via virtual classrooms to achieve desired outcomes
  • Lesson planning and assignment
  • Commit to EDLounge’s safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Mark and assess students’ work
  • Lesson creation
  • Liaise/report with schools regarding students learning and behaviour
  • Maintain a lesson management system



  • Qualified Teacher Status.


  • Evidence of continuing professional development



  • At least two years Experience of teaching


  • Experience of Teaching a wide age range of pupils within KS2 to KS4
  • Experience of lesson planning

Knowledge and Skills


  • Thorough knowledge of the curriculum across the key stages 2 to 4
  • Ability to encourage and support all pupils to do their best.
  • An understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities for all pupils.
  • A sound knowledge of child safeguarding
  • Confident in using ICT for a range of purposes.


  • Sound basic knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and strategies for identifying SEN or very able pupils
  • Identifying termly any pupils who are vulnerable and communicating them through the school system
  • Interest and/or expertise in a curriculum area.
