Job Introduction
BBC Scotland offers an unrivalled reputation for production and programme making in Scotland providing local and network programmes across all platforms (TV, Radio and Online). BBC Scotland employs approximately 1200 staff across 15 locations. This role sits within the Technology Operations team that supports our colleagues across Scotland to enable programme makers to fulfil their creative ambitions, through the use of technology and first class production and broadcast facilities.

Role Responsibility
The role will form part of a first line support function for Production and Broadcasting faults at BBC Scotland, providing the key link between operational business requirements and Engineers.

You will work as part of a team to record and manage incidents, provide workflow co-ordination and stakeholder communication for Production & Broadcast systems used at BBC Scotland.

A Broadcast Support Technician will understand and will use defined best practice support processes to either resolve issues encountered using skills and experience, or escalate as per defined procedures.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should have a high degree of computer literacy, and experience in an operational, support or customer facing role, preferably in supporting live services.

A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to demonstrate that you have the ability to work autonomously, handling most queries and problems without needing to check with colleagues

An understanding of PCs, IT systems and Production & Broadcast technologies would be an advantage.
