Leading Cosmetics Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Coordinator who will be

responsible for coordinating and managing branded retail purchasing requirements from managing the orders placed on suppliers through to delivery; management and maintenance of supplier contracts and reporting on supplier performance; building supplier relationships and maintaining effective communication to manage the supply chain and process improvement with a view to implementing best buying practices.

Key Tasks

Daily review of the MRP Actions report for allocated suppliers and generating all required PO's in a timely manner.
Purchasing and expediting of all retail products and their components to meet agreed delivery date, at the expected cost.
Proactively report to key stakeholders on potential supply chain shortages using MPS, and work on resolutions with Supplier
Liaising directly with NPD, Account Management and Forecasting teams on product availability
Attending Project meetings, NPD meetings and Supply meetings, and following up all agreed actions
Liaising with Imports Team to advise them of GRD's, agree mode of transport, update PO's to reflect actual shipping quantity and obtain approval for all air freight shipments.
To work with all internal stakeholders on the sourcing and set-up of new suppliers- resolving associated commercial & logistical issues
Ensure costs are kept to a minimum whilst customer service & quality remains high, while ensuring deadlines at met at all times
Identify cost reduction opportunities and propose these to Line Manager.
Defend against price increases, through negotiation with Supplier , and stakeholder involvement
Co-ordinate the movement of free issue stock between suppliers for the processing of retail subcontract orders
Expediting and monitoring deliveries of Free Issue (FI) items, to ensure there is no impact to final arrival date- recording and reporting SC stock holding for allocated suppliers on a monthly basis.
Contribute to the departmental KPI (stock outs, cost reductions, supplier performance monitoring, inventory and lead-time reduction
Instigate regular supplier reviews and site visits as required.
Update and amend purchasing milestones within company systems in a timely manner.
Maintain purchase price list
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the availability of products for launch
Work proactively with QC department to resolve and close out NCR
Booking in supplier deliveries with goods inwards
Scanning and filing of all relevant documentation
Key Qualification Requirements:

Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Previous MRP experience required.
Educated to a minimum of "A" level standard
Proven purchasing experience preferably within FMCG
