German speaking Mechanical Design Engineer working for a automotive manufacturing company in Burnley Your new company Your new company are well established automotive manufacturer who design and manufacture various plastic components. These components are fuel parts, powertrain products, open close parts, fasteners and clamps. The majority of the products are plastic based. They are now seeking a new German mechanical design engineer to assist with the design and development of products. Your new role In your new role you be designing and developing new and existing products to support the current business. You will part of the design team and will also support the sales team assisting the expansion of the business. You will develop and modify existing designs and use 3D CAD software to design new products. You will play a key part in pushing forward the business with site visits to existing and target clients. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role you will need to have a engineering degree, ideally in mechanical engineering. You will need to have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role and have working knowledge of Catia. The products are mainly plastic, so experience with plastic injection moulding is essential. It is also essential that you have the ability to speak German for this role. You will be dealing with suppliers and will need have the ability to talk through technical information.
