EPOS & Stock Systems Manager


aigo FIND have been retained by the University of Bath to deliver their search for the right individual to lead the implementation and ongoing support of a new EPoS and Stock Management solution.


We are looking for individuals with in depth experience managing and delivering EPOS / Stock systems within a Hospitality or Retail environment and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across a range of departments. This role and the solution being implemented reach a wide range of business areas and as such, is of importance to a number of key department heads. We are looking for a true people person who can develop and maintain excellent working relationships with varied stakeholders in Finance, Procurement, F&B, Computing Services and Operations.


The ideal candidate will have experience of Oracle Simphony and Agresso or comparable systems across multiple remote locations. This role holds responsibility for the day to day coordination of the EPOS and Stock Management Systems and will provide advice to the Head of Commercial Development in the development of on Campus outlets to assist in theirmanagement.

Role Purpose

  • To coordinate the implementation of any new systems that interface with Agresso / EPOS and has an impact on stock wherever appropriate
  • To help develop system specifications and criteria for new systems as needs arise
  • To continually review and troubleshoot issues with any implemented systems
  • Identify requirements for presentation to Internal IT and work with IT department to develop and support interfaces between the new stock system, Agresso, Oracle Simphony EPOS and Kinetics
  • Coordinate the ongoing administration, updates and development of the stock system
  • Coordinate the data and processes which feed into the stock system
  • Coordinate the department PCIDSS reviews with impacted areas of the business and any third parties to determine current processes and recommend appropriate solutions to department procedure
  • Provide financial information and commercial analysis on key decision areas to support Senior and Hospitality Management
  • To responsible for the development and operation of the departmental EPOS System


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of EPOS Systems
  • Proven Track record of provision of timely and accurate reporting
  • Proven experience providing training to key department heads
  • Proven experience as a "Product Expert or Product Lead"
  • Knowledge and experience of Stock Control
  • Competent in the use of MS Office including Data Analysis and Visualization
  • Advanced Excel data manipulation skills [VLOOKUP, pivot tables etc]
  • An understanding of database design and terminology
  • Some exposure to SQL Server Database creation, manipulation and stored procedure
  • Excellent MS Access experience
  • Project Management
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of Agresso
  • Experience using BI reporting tools
