Position: Python Application Developer
Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum

Role Responsibilities:
The Python Application Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining a number of scientific applications and tools used to support manufacturing and field operations. This will involve working in a team to develop software and tests, following an agile methodology.

Primary responsibilities:
Maintaining existing software and developing new software solutions;
Creating technical specifications and plans;
Ensuring product quality through unit testing, system testing and continuous integration;
Investigating new technologies and continually updating technical knowledge and skills;

Essential Requirements:
Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science/ software engineering or equivalent discipline
Proven experience in desktop application development, preferably using Python
Experience working closely with stakeholders to determine technical specifications
Excellent communication skills in English

Desired criteria:
Strong technical skills in Python development
Familiar with data visualization, charting and graphing
Knowledge of user interface design principles.
Experience interfacing with data acquisition hardware
Experience with C/C++
