Our client’s in Barnsley, North Yorkshire are recruiting for an Administrator and Receptionist - with proven experience of dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information relating to children and families.  Accurate keyboard skills and the ability to write plain and grammatically English is essential

Qualification – Essential

5 GCSE’s, Grades A – C or equivalent to include Maths and English

RSA2 typing/word processing or equivalent

NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline

Advanced ECDL

Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential

Ability to work under own initiative

Proven knowledge and understanding of the complete administrative activities

Advanced computer literate

Ability to meet tight deadlines

Competence in using database, spreadsheet and Word processing packages

Ability to work with members of the public/clients

Strong verbal and written skills

Proven keyboard skills 75/80 WPM

Good ability to multi task

Proven minute taking and audio typing skills

Experience of general office administration (answering the telephone, filing, photocopying, dealing with enquiries)

Strong observation skills and an eye for detail

Excellent attention to detail

Proven standard of numerical ability

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prepare assessments, write reports and work within agreed boundaries whilst recognising areas of discretion

Registered Enhanced/Standard DBS Disclosure within the last 12 months
