What it's about
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager based in our office in central New York. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual who will help us to establish and grow our business throughout the US and Canada market.

You will be responsible for:
• Developing the business plan for the countries in conjunction with the Regional Commercial Head and documenting detailed sales plans for each territory and/or key account
• Developing relationships with key stakeholders in the region including institutions, government and exam centres and maintaining specialist knowledge about our markets and the wider-educational landscape
• Identify and exploit new business opportunities and strategic partnerships, ensuring a customer-focused approach to all business development.
• Ensure Cambridge English Language Assessment is meeting changing customer needs and that new business opportunities are identified early.

What we're looking for
• This is a role for an individual contributor who is an experienced business development manager with proven sales success in the USA and Canada region.
• You will have experience of successfully negotiating a wide range of B2B contracts and be skilled in using data to review and lead improvements in performance.
• You must be experienced in developing new markets.
• You must be motivated by prospecting new business and be proactive in your approach.
• You will have excellent communications skills in English.
• Knowledge of educational systems and assessment would be an advantage.
