Role Summary:

As the Community Investments Officer you will manage the Investments Programme for Bolton’s Community Asset Navigator Programme. You will co-design the assessment criteria for the community investments with sector partners and organisations including Bolton Clinical Commissioning Group, Bolton Council and Bolton GP Federation.

You will develop the different elements of the programme ensuring that accessible processes are designed in collaboration with key stakeholders, with a focus on voluntary and community organisations in Bolton.

You will promote the investments available with the community and voluntary sector and community members and provide learning opportunities to up skill the sector in applying for the investments.

You will work closely with the Community Asset Navigators and the Community Asset Information Worker to identify gaps in provision and capacity from the mapping process, ensuring appropriate intelligence is provided to the sector, and to Bolton CVS Group Development Workers.

You will collect and share intelligence from the wider health and social care workforce to inform gaps in provision and capacity.

You will establish clear monitoring and evaluation systems for the investment programme demonstrating and celebrating good practice and the impact of investments and providing clear opportunities for learning and enhancement of interventions.

Core objectives

To design and implement processes to distribute community investments to the voluntary and community sector.

To utilise the intelligence from the mapping processes to inform the development of new and existing interventions, working closely with Community Asset Navigator programme, Bolton CVS Group Development Officers and the wider health and social care workforce.

To ensure that Bolton’s Voluntary and Community Sector has the information, skills and knowledge to be able to access the full range of Bolton CVS investment programmes.

To design and implement monitoring and evaluation systems including the collection of case studies from grant recipients. To deliver the investments programme within budget.

To manage data and information on investment distribution, including the design and production of reports.

Main responsibilities

To promote all investment opportunities to the voluntary and community sector in Bolton.

To deliver a comprehensive programme of workshops and events on Bolton CVS’s investment programmes.

To provide detailed monitoring reports outlining investment distribution, impact and reach.

To build relationships with external funders and key stakeholders across the health and social care workforce and the community and voluntary sector.

To inform the training and development offer for groups.

To work with the Communications and Events Officer to promote investment opportunities.

To manage the investments budget.

Other duties

To take responsibility for individual administration, delegating where necessary.

To attend Team Meetings, events and to undertake mandatory training.

To perform any other duties commensurate with these responsibilities, the grade of the post and skills and qualifications of the post-holder.
