The Resource and Change Management team provides centralised support across all Finance locations to ensure resources are used effectively across the function and to find the 'sweet spot' that enables BAU and change to be delivered into Finance with minimal disruption to the function and its customers.

Analysing and reporting data is a key part of the role. You will support the Head of Finance Resource & Change to manage relationships across Finance and build a strong and holistic understanding of resource and capacity demands. You will analyse data to understand how resources in Finance are currently being utilised, the current and forward looking demand (with regard to both capacity and capability) and supply of Finance resource, any associated risks and issues.

You will collate and distil this data and understanding into high quality reports and MI that the Head of Finance Resource and Change will use to communicate key trends and issues to Senior Managers within Finance. Your reports and analysis will enable them to understand conflicts, challenges and issues and will play a key role in shaping potential solutions.

You will work closely with other Analysts, both within the UK and in Mumbai, with whom you will share information and shape solutions.

Process improvement is also a key part of the role. You will work with the Head of Finance Resource & Change, as well as other business owners, to make suggestions on how to improve incumbent processes. You will also help to manage changes by encouraging acceptance of agreed changes among the business users and providing guidance and support as required by key stakeholders..

Purpose of the role:

- Manage the delivery of Finance resource MI

- Manage relationships across the Finance function

- Develop and propose solutions to resource challenges in Finance

- Work with the business on process improvements

- Represent finance on corporate projects as required to ensure appropriate alignment of resources and that change impacts on the finance function are fully understood

Experience:

- Experience of managing and influencing a range of stakeholders and peers (including vendors)

- Experience of gathering, analysing and presenting data and producing recommendations and guidance in a simple and clear manner

- Experience of producing detailed analysis

- Experience of resolving conflicts in a project/resource prioritisation environment

- Very strong experience and knowledge of Excel/Access and Powerpoint

- Experience of monitoring and reporting in a project environment

- Some experience of driving and monitoring continuous improvement activity

Knowledge:

- Very strong experience and knowledge of Excel/Access and PowerPoint

- Detailed knowledge of resource modelling techniques, methodologies and planning processes

- Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies

- Working knowledge of industry best practice on resource modelling, management and prioritisation

- Detailed knowledge of analytical techniques
