General Manager – Corwen Farmers Ltd

Salary Up to £40k+ with Car & Benefits (pension etc) available dependent upon experience and qualifications.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious person to take charge of the overall operations of a profitable, well established agricultural trading cooperative in North East Wales.

Corwen Farmers Ltd (HQ in Corwen) has a turnover in excess of £6m per annum and returns consistently profitable annual results.

The successful candidate will need to show a good knowledge of agricultural input trading coupled with an understanding of farming and rural life in the area. Additionally the successful candidate would need to have the ability to manage and motivate staff, manage and control the finances, the reputation of the business, and importantly have a strong commercial acumen to purchase and price the product lines sold to be both competitive and profitable.

The successful applicant will report directly to a small, democratically elected board of directors and will need to manage the governance of the business and ensure compliance with all regulatory matters (e.g. FIAS, UFAS, BASIS, Health and Safety Executive to name just a few).

The ability to speak Welsh will be advantageous.
