An opportunity to work in a new food product development laboratory / kitchen.
Full time position based in Derby. 

Main responsibilities include:

• Raw material stock management and ordering.
• Food flavour, seasoning sample preparation and lab administration.
• Providing assistance to savoury food technologists and scientists.
• Support a team of savoury food technologists and scientists to prepare samples of; seasonings & flavours and apply into finished products, predominantly snack foods. 

Requirements of the Role:
Essential:

• Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
• Computer literacy skills; Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook, and capable of learning and using other operating or web based systems to enable the smooth administration.
• Numeracy, accuracy and good communication skills are essential for the successful completion of the role.
• Be punctual and flexible to meet technical and customer deadlines.

Desired requirements:

• A-Level or higher qualified
• Passion for food and / or cooking
• Basic food hygiene / safety training or certificate
• Basic knowledge of French

Salary £18,500 per annum + benefits
