Docker/AWS - DevOps Engineer (Node/Go/Python/ruby)
An early stage revolutionary new fintech start up are looking for a platform DevOps Engineer as they look to change the way we manage our finances and make payments by making the physical credit/debit card a thing of the past.
Imagine a world where you have the same flexibility with contactless payments, increased security without the worry of having to call up banks when you lose a credit card - what an amazing world that would be.
This very well funded start up have just received 10 million in funding so are looking to really grow their team. They currently have a fairly small team focused around 5 main software engineers who are working on the development of their platform and are looking for a senior devops engineer focused on the infrastructure architecture to come in an implement 'devops' the way they see fit and really make an impact.
They are a php house so prior experience with that would be awesome. The role will involve being hands on in setting up their infrastructure - focusing on a compliant security system, hands on with architecture of the platform and setting up an automate release pipeline working with docker and AWS.
This is a very key position in the business and the first on the infrastructure side; this role will in all likelihood be moving to a head of infrastructure position as the company continues to grow as planned so if you wish to join an amazing company who are rapidly scaling their platform to grow your career quickly then this is the perfect role for you.
Working in a tech incubator based in the heart of London's tech hub you will be working with some of the strongest engineers there are most of which are very technical with doctorates from Cambridge/ oxford graduates so they are always keen to work with new tech.
What do they want from you?
*Experience with Linux operating systems.
*Experience working with micro services: Docker, kubernetes
*Strong knowledge of cloud systems: Aws, rackspace, Azure
*Experience setting up Continuous integration: Jenkins, bamboo
*Strong experience with a development Language: php, ruby, python, Java, Javascript
This is an awesome role for someone who wants to implement devops best practices and really make their mark on the company. This is going to be something that will really change the world in the years to come so getting involved in this early stage will be a career defining role.
