About the role:
They are looking for a Commercial Officer to join their expanding Commercial team and help ensure effective commercial governance of their business.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiating non-disclosure agreements, memorandum of understanding and teams / partnering agreements within agreed levels of authority
- Providing business / commercial responses into the submission of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires enquiries and Supplier Questionnaires
- Reviewing Invitations to Tender and undertaking commercial evaluation against corporate contracting policies
- Identifying commercial risk mitigations and assist in recommendations for bid / no-bid approval decisions
- Providing robust commercial responses for proposals received to meet internal deadlines for tender submission and business authorisation
- Providing advice and guidance to their technical delivery teams to secure contract amendments enabling profitable and cash generative contracts with favourable payment terms
- Assisting in monitoring Contract performance against contractual obligations and arrange contract close-out meetings to assist in resolving all outstanding issues / claims on the contract
- Assisting in the negotiation and resolution of claims both for and against the Company
About you:
- Experience of providing outstanding commercial support throughout the entire project lifecycle from tender stage to the provision of project through-life' commercial support
- Experience of managing many stakeholders to provide resolutions to contractual issues
- Experience of successfully delivering effective supply chain management
- Full or part-qualified membership to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)
- Excellent communicator skills
- The ability to engage in robust negotiations while simultaneously building respect and strong relationships
- Experience of ensuring consistent and high quality commercial responses to contract and tender enquiries balanced with meeting situational deadlines
- A flexible and resourceful approach with experience of identifying and securing win-win situations through effective influencing
