THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

Reporting to the Regional Controller for UK and Europe the role is one of a team of two Purchase ledger accountants who work closely with the Glasgow site accounting lead on a day to day basis.

Duties will include:

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure supplier payments are processed accurately and in accordance with corporate policies and time critical deadlines
  • Scanning, registering and matching invoices to purchase orders within ERP system
  • Resolving issues with incoming invoices which cannot be matched to a live purchase order
  • Scanning, registering and distributing non-PO invoices for approval
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any variances arising
  • Monitoring and managing an accounts payable email inbox, dealing with internal and external queries via email and telephone with a timely resolution
  • Carry out weekly BACS payment runs to suppliers and subcontractors within agreed payment terms
  • Setting up new suppliers in ERP system and updating existing supplier files for any change requests
  • Other Ad Hoc duties as required to support finance colleagues

PROFILE

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous Accounts Payable experience within a medium to large organisation
  • Experience within a high volume environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good time management and organisation skills
  • Experience with Agresso ERP system an advantage
