Our client, are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced to join the business as a Housing Maintenance Team Manager. Reporting into the head of division, you will be responsible for managing the technical, planning and trades staff within the team as well as delivering the property Management/Maintenance Service.

You will be responsible for a variety of different duties, including the following:

  • The overall management of the in-house response and planned repairs service for three thousand properties
  • The overall management of external contractors for response and planned repairs
  • The overall management of the planned maintenance
  • Management of the housing services procurement team including ensuring financial regulations are complied with and best value is delivered
  • Ensure the repairs service is delivered in a manner consistent with the requirements of auditors and Scottish Housing Regulator
  • Ensure the Housing Maintenance team adheres to all written procedures and agreed working practices
  • Ensure, in conjunction with the Property Services Manager and Senior Accountant, all services are delivered within specified budgets and where necessary assist to devise systems to ensure this
  • Ensure all stores are managed in accordance with procedure and best practice
  • Any other reasonable duties consistent with this level of role

To be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record and significant experience of leading a multi-trade repairs and maintenance team. You will be qualified in a construction related discipline or have time served experience in this area. You must have experience in managing a "response repairs" service within social housing. You will also have experience in dealing with contractors within a repairs service. You must have experience in dealing with a minimum of GBP2 million budget and understand local procurement legislation's and risk practices for these styles of services.

Knowledge of industry software such as Servitor, OHMS, OPTI TIME is an advantage.
