Operations Manager for thriving and expanding people focused Bristol business

THE ROLE

As Operations Manager, you will lead the Production, Environmental and Transportation teams to fulfil customer orders to produce a consistent and high quality product within a safe operating environment. Based on site with occasional travel to customers and suppliers, responsibilities include:

• Legal and company compliance with all Health, Safety and Quality standards
• Lead production team to ensure high and consistent levels of performance / monitoring KPIs
• Manage transport and distribution team to deliver high levels of customer service
• Engage with Continuous Improvement culture for quality and efficiency of production techniques
• Lead new projects to manage costs / expenditure in line with budgets
• Support business systems to develop technical capabilities and plant performance

THE PERSON

As Operations Manager, you have a relevant qualification / experience in production / manufacturing / engineering / chemical related field. Your people management skills will be supported with Health & Safety experience and knowledge of Continuous Improvement techniques, ideally supported by:

• knowledge of ISO 9000, 14000 and 18000 / TPED
• understanding of COMAH / ATEX standards
• industrial safety experience (working at height / LOTOTO)
• understanding of chemical processing techniques
