LOCATION: Hambleton, Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire

JOB TITLE: Glass Studio & Installation Technician

SALARY & BENEFITS: Up to GBP22,000 DOE + use of company vehicle (relocation assistance) + pension + time off in lieu

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8 - 5pm.

THE COMPANY: Our client is a family run business established in 1986 and based in Hambleton, currently with a team of 9 employees. They design, manufacture and install very high end specialist glass for a wide variety of purposes, working primarily for interior designers and architects in the hospitality and private residential sectors, throughout the UK and abroad.

They have an exciting opportunity available for a Glass Studio & Installation Technician to join their team!

THE ROLE: As a Glass Studio & Installation Technician you will be working with experienced glass technicians and installation experts, building on the skills you have and learning those that you don't.

Key duties/responsibilities for the Glass Studio & Installation Technician role:-

Assisting in the studio with day-to-day production using the full variety of glass processing methods
General maintenance of all equipment, tools and machinery used as well as ensuring a clean and tidy workspace both before and after occupying an area of the studios
Accepting deliveries and checking them against the items delivered in terms of dimension, shape and overall quality, according to the purchase order
Assisting with surveys on site for glass sizes from finished substrates for manufacturing, checking site access and logistics for often large glass panels - feeding information back to graphics technician to then originate technical drawings
Working as part of a team, installing glass designs projects, as well as providing joinery skills at the studios for jigs, crates and other wooden structures required for bespoke glass projects

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Glass Studio & Installation Technician role will have excellent timekeeping skills, alongside good communication and numeracy skills. You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work alone and be able to follow clear instructions without deviation. You must live within a commutable distance to Hambleton or be willing to relocate.

Key experience essential for the Glass Studio & Installation Technician role:-

You will either need a high level of glass processing skills (for the Glass Studio Technician aspect) OR you will need experience in high end carpentry with workshop and/or site experience (for the Installation Technician aspect) - and be willing to learn the skill set that you don't yet have.
A full clean driving licence.
Willingness for overnight stays internationally when the need arises
